Artist Joel Pfeiffer will work with families to create a Clay Stomp Peace Mural, a ceramic wall sculpture commemorating the
10th year of Kids for Peace that will be displayed permanently at the museum.

Hands-and-feet-on fun: use bare feet to mix clay with water(dress for mess, or bring a change of clothes)

12:30-2:30 Mural Carving
Work together with friends and family to carve images into slabs of clay to create a community Peace Mural. The artist will later fire the clay
to form the sculpture.

Explore music and movement through hand drumming and rhythm instruments with Edi Gbordzi, a drummer and dance who has traveled
internationally with the National Dance Company of Ghana and directs Madison's Atimevu Drum and Dance Company.

Plant edible herbs to grow in your kitchen.

Learn simple yoga poses in a program tailored to the physical development needs of young children. Instructor Julia Bower, director of the Baraboo Yoga Studio, integrates child-friendly movement with interactive storytelling programs.

Madison Children's Museum collaborates with Fit City Madison, the American Heart Association and Dance County YMCA to celebrate
Worldwide Day of Play. Get active outside the museum and take part in play stations including hop scotch, jump rope, dancing and more!

Meet the Musician: Cello Saturday, September 30 11-11:30a.m.
Laurie Riss visits from the Madison Symphony Orchestra to demonstrate the cello.

Healthy Snacks Saturday, September 30 2-3p.m.

Arts, Music and Play "mini camp" (18 months-4 years): Come to Gymboree twice a week during our three-week Summer Mini Camp and experience arts, music and play. You and your child will have an opportunity to experience two classes each for a total of six times. Camps start the week of June 14. Baby's first camp (age 6-18 months). This summer you and your baby can experience music classes and play classes as you attend Gymboree twice a week in our three-week Baby's First Camp. You and your little one will attend three Quarter Notes and three GymCrawlers or GymWalkers classes for a total of six classes. Camps start the week of June 14.

Earth Focus Day Camp for children 3 to 11 takes place at the UW Arboretum each summer from mid-June to mid-August. Now in its 15th year, Earth Focus Day Camp continues to create outstanding summer nature programs for children ages 3-14. With more than 1,200 acres containing many different habitats — including the oldest restored tall grass prairie in the world — the Arboretum provides hands-on experience with native Wisconsin plants, animals and habitats.
