GREAT PLAY FOR A GREAT LIFE
May 20, 2008 (Tues) 10-11 am
May 21, 2008 (Wed) 1-2 pm
May 22, 2008 (Thur) 6-7 pm
2 West Main,
Belleville (in Express Fitness)
CONTACT PERSON: Betsy Kennedy Jacobs, MS, OTR
HOW TO REGISTER: Call 608-455-1644
or email to bkjacobs@betterfunctioning.com
COST: FREE at the SBF office in Belleville
We often talk about work versus play. Get the work done
before you can play. Even your
social status may be judged by how much you work versus
how much you play. Some of
these attitudes can trickle down to our children, particularly
those preschool aged. Also, in
this age of commercialism, merchandising, and technology,
children are drifting farther and
farther from toys and activities that are crucial to later
life skills, everything from
understanding concepts of size and weight to simply not
getting exercise. Good exercise
habits have fallen to the wayside and obesity is epidemic
amongst children, but that is a
whole other discussion of its own. We need to remember
that: PLAY IS THE CHILD'S WORK!
All later learning depends on the exploration of his surroundings,
interaction with others,
and play when the child is growing up, especially for the
baby and preschooler. Come find
out how simple and cheap it can be to introduce your child
to his life and the world around
him. Give your child the extra boost of confidence that
will help her cope with the many
frustrations of life.
*NOTE: Betsy Kennedy Jacobs, MS, OTR can schedule a time
to come to you, either for a
community or business talk. For only $5.00/person ($25
minimum) I can bring this valuable
information to a place and time that is more convenient
to your community or business.
