flaghandmade

Doing something with the children so that they can participate and put their own 'stamp' on the gift is priceless. Taking the time to do something, even a simple card, will definitely impress her. Here are a few handmade ideas:

1. Mom & Child made ceramics, tiles, or pottery @ Studio You
2. Breakfast in bed (after sleeping in!)
3. Handmade card from the kids
4. Photo of the kid(s) in a nice handpainted frame
5. Stepping stone tile made by the kids (or with baby's handprint!)

Craft kits, photo frames, card supplies and stepping stone kits can be found at local stores such as Michal's Crafts, Archivers, Hobby Lobby, Target, JoAnne's, and other craft stores. Check your local library branch or craft store for Mother's Day Craft events/activities.

flagpersonal

Personal and handmade are not too different. Both are things that show a personal touch, create a special day, and show how much you care - both also involve the kids and family.

1. Time to read a book, take a long hot bath
2. Family outing (olbrich, nature walk/hike, brunch)
3. Personal letter to mom written 'from' the child (dad writing child's perspective, of course!!!!)
4. Walk around the Farmer's Market, get her flowers and organic soaps/bath products! Some yummy fresh pastries and organic eggs, and then make her breakfast the next day with your purchases.
5. Work-free Mother's Day. A day where mom doesn't have to cook, clean, do laundry and can just enjoy her little one(s).

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
